Orbita honored at Best Places to Work gala

Positive work environment and supportive leadership cited as primary contributors to recognition from annual Modern Healthcare award program

We are excited to announce Orbita has been ranked among the top healthcare suppliers in Modern Healthcare’s Best Places to Work recognition program this year. The announcement that our 37-employee company is ranked among 75 other healthcare vendors across the country was made during an awards ceremony Sept. 29 in Nashville, TN. The honor is also highlighted in a special edition of Modern Healthcare, published this week.

"Total credit for this recognition goes to our fantastic employees. This is a highly talented and passionate group of individuals that brings its 'A game' to every challenge. I am thrilled with this award and even more thrilled to work beside them every day."

-Patty Riskind, CEO at Orbita

This award program identifies and recognizes outstanding employers in the healthcare industry nationwide. Modern Healthcare partners with the Best Companies Group on the assessment process, which includes an extensive employee survey.

Ninety-two percent of Orbita employees participated in the annual survey, conducted during the spring of 2022. Results showed a high level of satisfaction in all areas surveyed, with top scores in the categories of work environment (100%); relationship with supervisor (99%); leadership (94%); and training, development and resources (94%).

One employee noted, “The organization puts a lot of emphasis on our culture, communication, employee engagement, reinforcing our values and transparency. We also make Orbita a great place to work by celebrating wins big and small with various team related fun events.

Another commented, “Great product that makes a difference. Smart, honest, hardworking people who make work fun and are passionate about what we do.

"After the many stressors placed on the healthcare workforce during the pandemic and the resulting Great Resignation, we know those employees are battling burnout, increased work volumes and their own physical and mental health challenges," said Modern Healthcare Publisher Fawn Lopez. "The organizations that have focused significant resources and energy to support their staff throughout these especially challenging times deserve the loyalty of their teams and the recognition of the entire industry. At Modern Healthcare, we are honored to celebrate the Best Places to Work for demonstrating their commitment to their employees, and the communities they serve, with exemplary people care measures."
