OrbitaASSIST Case Study - Prince of Wales Hospital

The Prince of Wales Hospital (POWH) is a 440 bed major public teaching hospital located in Sydney's eastern suburb of Randwick, providing a full range of hospital services to the people of New South Wales, Australia. 

OrbitaASSIST was successfully piloted in the POWH Spinal Injuries Unit over a four-week period. 

During the pilot, the POWH was able to significantly improve efficiency and received strong positive feedback from patients, nurses, and hospital administration:

  • 70% reduction in median response time to calls for help
  • 87% of nurses feel more confident in responding to calls
  • 100% of surveyed patients prefer it for future hospitalization
